INTERFAITH Vol 1 No 3

The Inter-Religious Organisation, Singapore (IRO) was founded in 1949. Since its humble beginnings, IRO has worked quietly to promote peace and religious harmony in Singapore. Today, 10 major religions are represented in the IRO — namely, the Baha’i Faith, Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, Jainism, Judaism, Sikhism, Taoism, and Zoroastrianism.

Singapore not only ranks as the most religiously diverse country in the world, but also one of the most harmonious in terms of inter-religious relations. Since its inception, IRO organises activities in line with its objectives and participates in local and international forums to learn more about what is being done in the region to promote religious harmony.

To celebrate its 68th Anniversary, IRO launched the commemorative edition of its INTERFAITH publication on 19 March 2017 with Guest-of-Honour, Minister of Culture, Community and Youth, Grace Fu.

INTERFAITH Magazine is an official publication of the IRO.
