Splash!
Study on colour values and tones
Splash! is a simple project study on the creation of tonal values on a black & white medium. Pencils and ink were used. Methods used for shading include stipling and crosshatching (which also helped to distinguish the skin tones from the water droplet textures). The work is an A4-sized portrait, scanned and reprinted on art card.
Part of my study in the NTU School of Art, Design & Media back in 2009.
